Our experienced Floater caregiver make a positive impact in the lives of our clients. Our Floating Caregiver must have a minimum of five years experience caregiving, excellent communication skills, a leader, personal care experience with seniors and a heart for working with seniors. The main function of the Floating Caregivers is to be able to work with any type of client, any shift during weekdays, or nights and overnights if needed. The Floating Caregiver will be able to work with any type of client that needs assistance while ensuring the clients have an excellent customer service experience. This position fills in when the primary caregiver calls in or take time off. The Floater will provide care for clients in a safe, secure, professional environment which meets their needs. The Floater Caregiver help assist with the activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, personal hygiene, continence care, meal preparation, medication reminders, keeping the home safe and clean, as well as the overall supervision of the client's’ physical and mental well being.

We combine professional care management, training and counseling to deliver superior services to older adults, their families, and the professionals involved in their care.

Knowledge and Skills Requirements

  • State CNA certification / CHHA certification preferred but not required.
  • 5 years of caregiving experience.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Valid driver's license, proof of insurance and reliable transportation.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • English proficiency and excellent communication skills
  • Moderate computer and typing skills
  • Two professional references required
  • Must be able to pass background check CNA, HHA, and BLS/CPR training a plus
  • Must be able to lift up to 25lbs
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States

Primary Responsibilities

  • Able to complete the primary basic caregiver responsibilities including assisting with activities of daily living. Must also be able to or willing to learn higher acuity caregiving skills such as feeding tubes, colostomy care, bowel and bladder programs or trach care under RN Delegation.
  • Must be able to work with clients who smoke or have pets in the home.
  • Emergency caregiver back up for unexpected call offs.
  • Deliver supplies to client homes and conduct basic monitoring visits.
  • Provides patient transportation to doctor appointments, outside activities, and shopping.
  • Provides patient laundry and linen changes.
  • Light housekeeping.
  • Provides medication reminders.
  • Meal preparation and clean up.

From basic companion care (which includes, but is not limited to light housekeeping, sitter care, transportation, meal preparation, etc.) to more integral personal care (which includes, but is not limited to incontinence care, transferring, dressing and bathing, etc.), our Caregivers provide a wide range of services. The Floating Caregiver will fill in on shifts where needed.

Employee benefits Offered:

  • Up to 40 hours of pay per week
  • Flexible Schedules
  • Annual 1-4% performance-based pay raise 1 week (5 days) of Paid Time Off annually eligible to use after 90 days of employment
  • Ability to earn additional PTO (Paid Time Off) accruals based on hours worked
  • Monthly gas allowance of $60 for in home monitoring visits or use of company care during visits
