Seeking Experienced Service Technicians

                                                          * Are you an experienced Automotive Service Technician?

Paul Thigpen Automotive Group is currently looking to add some qualified service technicians to our auto group.  We are in a period of growth and understand that we need to expand our service departments at each location.  We are specifically looking for A & B level technicians with 5+ years of experience.  We understand your role in our industry and are willing to pay top dollar for the right candidates.

Experienced Automotive Technician Responsibilities:

    *Able to diagnose and repair automotive systems including but not limited to engines, transmissions, steering, brakes, suspension and air conditioning, etc

    *Effectively communicate with service advisors regarding the scope and status of service work

    *GM or Ford experience preferred 

    *ASE Certified preferred

    *Professional and friendly demeanor

Pay- $35.00-$45.00 per Flat rate hour (based on experience).  Earning potential of $100,000+ per year

Pay will be dependent upon experience and certifications

RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership
  • Test drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
  • Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems 
  • Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed
  • Provide estimates of time needed for additional repairs
  • Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications

REQUIREMENTS

 

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • ASE/GM certifications
  • At least 2 years of experience as an auto technician
  • Knowledge in all aspects of automotive repair and maintenance
  • Fast, eager learner and team player
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Computer skills and willingness to learn new problems
  • Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
  • Clean driving record & valid driver’s license
