Job Title: MIG Welder

Work Hours: Monday-Friday, 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM (10 hours of OT)

Pay: $18.00/hr to start ($990/week before taxes)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Selecting, measuring, cutting, and joining appropriate metals to specifications.
Preparing metals and work surfaces to ensure safe and effective assemblage.
Weld materials in flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead positions.
Inspect completed welds to check their strengths and appearance.
Reading and interpreting specifications and blueprint drawings accurately.
Ability to take instructions verbally as well as on paper.
Training and mentoring welding recruits.
Regularly cleaning and inspecting welding equipment and tools.
Diagnosing issues and troubleshooting as required.
Reading a tape measure and using basic hand tools - squares, hammer, chisel, center punch, banding equipment, etc.
Ability to load parts in jigs.
Ability to operate forklifts and other machinery to transport materials.
Maintaining welding safety guidelines and regulations to ensure a risk-free work environment.
Carry out welding according to set dimensions to meet general test requirements.
Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position does not require any supervisory responsibilities.
