Job Tasks for CSR

  • Greet clients entering ACC promptly and professionally.
  • Dress professionally in clean attire. Personal appearance must be clean, neat and tasteful.
  • Answer phones professionally and promptly.
  • Process prescription and food requests in a timely fashion correctly.
  • Accurately schedule appointments and surgeries.
  • Takes initiative to ensure clients are cared for from the time they call ACC until their ready to depart ACC.
  • Offer to assist clients to their vehicles with their pets and/or purchases.
  • Actively seeks ways to engage clients to establish a bond with clients and their pets.
  • Responsible for overseeing opening procedures per ACC protocol.
  • Maintain ACC lobby during open hours. Make sure the area is neat and clean.
  • Responsible for end of night duties per ACC protocol. Confirm all appointment charts are ready for the next day prior to leaving the building and waiting area clean and tidy.
  • Complete daily department checklists to a high standard for the appropriate shift.
  • Enter new clients accurately in Cornerstone. Obtain as much client and patient information and history as possible.
  • Organize and update client information in Cornerstone’s Patient Record according to ACC protocol.
  • Receive and respond or process incoming communications such as email and faxes.
  • Discharge all drop off appointments. Confirm clients have all necessary communication and medication the doctor has prepared.
  • Correctly and efficiently check-out clients. Verify invoices are correct, present to clients and process payments on account accurately.
  • Perform end of day closing procedures in Cornerstone. Prepare daily settlement of cash, check and credit card transactions.
  • Other duties as time permits based upon supervisor instruction



Job Tasks for Vet Assistant


  • Assist veterinarian in restraint and treatment of patients in a variety of situations including but not limited to vaccinations, radiology, euthanasia, ultrasound and placing IV catheters.
  • Work closely with assigned veterinarian and technicians for the day’s appointments. Assist the veterinarian in preparing by proactively looking at the schedule to determine where delays and issues may arise
  • Help respond to veterinarian’s call backs and messages as directed.
  • Understand the doctor’s preferences when seeing appointments.
  • Be proactive about preparing exam rooms. Clean exam room after discharging each patient. Prepare for incoming appointments based upon the appointment type such as sick pet, annual exam, new puppy or kitten etc.
  • Communicate with Client Service Representatives, Veterinarians, Technicians other VAs and clients as soon as needed and appropriate to complete your tasks.
  • Educate clients on practice recommendations regarding parasite prevention and recommended vaccines.
  • Accurately invoice clients for services rendered and inventory used/dispensed.
  • Assist technician and doctors with the process of handling prescription request fulfillment.
  • Properly & safely restrain animals.
  • Effectively and safely perform blood draws for necessary testing.
  • Properly run bloodwork and appropriately package and prepare for delivery according to laboratory protocol.
  • Perform nail trims.
  • Maintain lab supplies and equipment, including centrifuges and microscopes.
  • Keep lab and exam areas neat and clean.
  • Performed other duties as assigned.
