Junior Project Engineer - Electrical

Mandeville, LA: Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking a Junior Project Engineer to assist in the design, programming, and commissioning of small to medium size marine control systems.

If you were ever interested in the design and programming of systems that control the propulsion of marine vessels or systems that control the power plant of vessels, we might have an opening for you.

Position is a Direct Hire, pay is hourly with some reasonable overtime maintaining a solid work-life balance.

Essential Duties:

· Assist in the design and configuration of control systems for small to medium scale marine systems

· Assist in factory testing and validation of systems before they are installed on a marine vessel

· Assist in the shipboard commissioning of systems before selloff to customer.

Requirements/Skills:

· Technical design and programming skills for control systems a plus

· CAD familiarization

· Degree in a technical field or 1+ years of experience working in an industrial or marine controls field

· Experience with small to medium scale project management would be beneficial

Physical Requirements:

· This job operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopies, filing cabinets, printers, and scanners.

· While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.

· The employee is frequently required to stand, walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.

· Occasional commissioning/survey at the project site.
