Tasting Room Associate
Open 7 days a week, 10:00 am to 5:00 pm
Pay $19.50 plus tips, commission and other winery perks.
Overview:
We are seeking a friendly and knowledgeable Tasting Room Associate. As a Tasting Room Associate, you will be responsible for creating memorable experiences for our guests while representing our brand and showcasing our premium wines.
Responsibilities:
1. Welcome guests warmly upon arrival and provide an overview of the tasting experience.
2. Conduct wine tastings for guests, guiding them through the selection of wines and providing detailed descriptions of each wine's characteristics, varietals, and production methods.
3. Educate guests about the winemaking process, vineyard practices, and the unique attributes of our wines.
4. Assist guests in selecting wines to purchase, offering recommendations based on their preferences and occasion.
5. Effectively communicate information about wine club memberships, special events, and promotions to guests, encouraging participation and engagement.
6. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the tasting room, including tasting bars, seating areas, and retail displays.
7. Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately and efficiently, processing payments and providing receipts to guests.
8. Stock and replenish wine inventory and merchandise as needed, ensuring availability for guests.
9. Monitor guest behavior and alcohol consumption, adhering to responsible service practices and intervening when necessary.
10. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations and exceptional guest service throughout the day.
Requirements:
1. Previous experience in hospitality, customer service, or wine industry preferred but not required; training will be provided.
2. Passion for wine and enthusiasm for sharing knowledge with others.
3. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage guests of diverse backgrounds and interests.
4. Strong interpersonal skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor.
5. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, as required by the tasting room hours.
6. Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a clean, organized, and inviting tasting room environment.
7. Must be at least 21 years of age and able to lift and carry cases of wine weighing up to 40 pounds.
8. Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and responsibilities as needed.
