Accounting Assistant

Manage Financial Statements
o Balance sheet.
o Income statements.
o Analysis of variances. 
o Presenting financial data to upper management and pertinent Plant personnel.
o Verify accuracy of all figures.
• Financial Reports
o Expense analysis.
o Various special financial analysis, as required. 
• Tax Reports
o State of Florida sales and use tax. 
• Annual Budget
o Analyze expenses. 
o Coordinate between the CEO and other management to develop budget figures. 
o Develop entire P & L and balance sheet for fiscal year. 
o Develop Business Plan and up-date annually with new budgets. 
• Annual Audit
o Set-up work papers for annual audit. 
o Coordinate with audit staff all requirements to insure proper audit. 
o Take remedial action to strengthen accounting procedure as directed by 
auditors. 
• Banking Responsibilities
o Directly cash transactions with bank. 
o Reconcilement (monthly) of operating accounts. 
o Handling of various bank obligations in a timely manner. 
• Collections
o Weekly review of Accounts Receivable.
o Telephone contact with delinquent accounts. 
o Follow-up to insure a timely payment schedule is followed
Sales Reports
o Daily monitoring of sales levels. 
o Daily review of cash position. 
o Daily tracking of actual sales of forecast sales. 
• Accounts Payable
o Cash disbursements. 
• Fixed Assets
o Inputting fixed assets into fixed assets software. 
o Generating report to book depreciation. 
• Accounts Receivable
o Invoicing customers. 
o Issuing customers credit. 
o Matching packing slip to invoice for mailing. 
o Cash receipts posting. 
• Sales
o Coordinate mold invoicing and mold expenses monthly to insure proper 
recording of expense and revenue.
o Keep CEO and Sales department informed of financial issues or questions, as they 
may arise. 
Secondary Functions
• Participates in meetings as required by position, and attends training related to the job 
responsibilities. 
• Monitors unemployment compensation reports and responds to claims for funds. 
• Responsible for reporting all unsafe equipment, conditions and/or unsafe activities 
performed by other employees to the President/CEO
• Performs other duties as required.
