Shift/Hours: Monday - Friday; 7AM - 3:30PM 1st shift 3:15PM-11:45PM 2nd shift

Pay Rate: $15.00 - $18.00

Location: West Knoxville, TN

Responsibilities of a Quality Inspector:

Quality Inspectors are responsible for packaging materials, loading finished product onto conveyors. Perform final checks for defective products, ensure all working products make it to the loading area or inventory, and keep detailed records of materials and shipments. Inspects components continually during the production process to determine and maintain high quality and reliability of products.

• Perform inspection of products within a clean room manufacturing environment.
• Visually inspect finished products and verify package counts.
• Inspects product to ensure we meet quality specifications on work orders.
• Weighs, packages and labels finished product.
• Perform inspections at a rate defined by machine pace and/or specified rate.
• Ability to read, understand and interpret written procedures in order to identify and segregate non-conforming product.
• Accurately complete all required documentation.
• Ability to place the required amount of conforming product into appropriate containers.
• Able to assemble specified product containers.
• Capable of identifying product containers through the use of adhesive labels, imprinting, sheet attachment, or other specified means.
• Able to place containers onto skids and prepare them for shipping
• Set up components on staging tables.
• Monitors product labeling and inserts if applicable
• Ensures proper identification of raw material.
• Help operator change rolls of materials on various machines when applicable
• Performs inspection and approval of raw materials if applicable
• Load and wrap skids of finished product.
• Works with manufacturing staff on quality and production related issues
• Must maintain a clean and safe work area at all times
• Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
• Expect mandatory overtime and some weekends as needed.

Work Environment:

Works in manufacturing environment where the noise level is usually moderate. When working on the manufacturing floor, protective head and face covering is required.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand and have the ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
