Job Details:

  • Compensation: $17-$20 DOE
  • Full time position (Monday-Friday 8:30am-5pm, overtime and some on call weekends)
  • Paid time off after 1 year, paid holidays, bonuses for emergency/after hour call outs.

Required skills/certifications:

  • Driver's License, clean driving record, auto insurance.
  • Experience with water mitigation
  • Efficient, multitasker, proficient with technology, leader, detailed oriented, organized, handle multiple jobs/clients, innovative problem solver, empathetic, well spoken, clean cut, reliable transportation to work, able to lift minimum of 75 lbs., willing to get your hands dirty.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check with no felony convictions or misdemeanors involving violence or theft.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with water mitigation and/or mold remediation.
  • Web programs including Restore365, MICA/Mitigate in the Middle, Xactimate.
  • IICRC certification
  • Bilingual a plus but not required

Job Responsibilities:

  • Extracting water from flooded structures using commercial extraction equipment.
  • Removing damaged or wet building materials such as carpet, pad, baseboard, cabinets and drywall.
  • Set up proper drying equipment according to plans.
  • Report equipment malfunctions.
  • Notifies Foreman of customer or project issues as they arise.
  • Mold remediation.
  • Daily documentation including journal notes, photos and moisture readings.
  • Communicate well with home owners and fellow workers.
  • Works under direction of Foreman/Supervisors to move jobs along quickly and efficiently.
  • Ability to plan in order to be cost efficient, effective, and safety oriented.
  • Ensures the Flood Trailer is stocked after use.
  • Communicates with Adjusters through calls, emails, or texts throughout the job.
  • Required to be part of on-call rotation.
    • Responsibilities for the on-call rotation:
      • About 1-2 weeks per month
      • Responding to after hours water damage calls
      • Beginning the digital customer file
      • Getting all necessary documents signed and photos
      • Starting the mitigation process to stabilize the property
      • Communicate clearly with the homeowners about what to expect during the process
      • Set drying equipment
      • Monitor drying equipment on existing jobs on the weekends
