Job Title: CAD Drafter

Job Summary: The CAD Drafter utilizes 3D modeling software to produce product drawings and offers engineering assistance to internal stakeholders in sales and operations. This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with a salary ranging between $46,000 to $51,000 annually, depending on experience. The position is open to onsite (preferred), hybrid, or remote work arrangements.

Primary Job Duties:

• Generate manufacturing drawings utilizing 3D modeling software based on customer designs, drawings, or specifications.
• Develop Bill of Materials (BOM) and Machine Routers for fabricated and assembled products.
• Collaborate and coordinate with engineers, sales, production planning, and manufacturing teams.
• Offer general engineering support for internal customers through a help ticket system.
• Identify, propose, and/or draft product design enhancements. Provide support for new product development and design.
• Provide engineering expertise to facilitate company goals and projects.
• Supervise and/or conduct product qualification and performance testing.
• May involve other duties and responsibilities assigned by supervisor or management.

Primary Competencies:

• Proficiency in 3D modeling software and adherence to industry drawing standards, preferably Autodesk Inventor and/or AutoCAD.
• Experience with Microsoft Office, conducting video meetings, and familiarity with ERPs.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams in a positive manner.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and mechanically inclined.
• Proactive critical thinker with strong problem-solving abilities.

Qualifications:

• Associate’s degree in Engineering/Drafting or equivalent experience.
• One to two years’ experience in a manufacturing environment; knowledge of pipes, valves, and fittings preferred.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including prolonged periods of sitting, occasional lifting up to 25 pounds, and maneuvering in a manufacturing environment.
