Alaska Pediatric Therapy is seeking an enthusiastic speech language pathologist to join a talented energetic team in beautiful Anchorage or Eagle River, Alaska. Alaska Pediatric Therapy is a well established multidisciplinary clinic that was established in 2011. Alaska Pediatric Therapy offers Physical, Occupational and Speech Therapy to children ages birth to 18 years old in Anchorage as well as Eagle River.

This is an amazing opportunity to work with a dynamic team of professionals with tremendous energy and aspiration. The clinic owners are local and continue to practice as treating clinicians as part of the team on a daily basis.

Ideal candidates possess a passion for and experience in pediatrics and enjoy working as part of a multidisciplinary team.

You will need to have a current state license as a Speech Language Pathologist (or be eligible for same). CFY applicants considered.

Alaska Pediatric Therapy continues to enjoy one on one patient to therapist sessions, we schedule 45 minute speech sessions, and provide 8-10 hours of paid paperwork/prep time each week that is scheduled into your week. Clinicians are paid salary and are not docked for no shows or cancels. Job Types: Part-time, Full-time

Salary: $90,000- $110,000 per year

Responsibilities:

  • Develop therapy and treatment plans for speech disorders
  • Implement standardized tests for accurate diagnosis of communication disorders
  • Establish treatment goals and milestones with patients
  • Document and store treatment plans and progress reports
  • Update patient progress to relevant parties
  • Research related speech and language problems

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in speech pathology or other related fields
  • Familiarity with communication disorders
  • Ability to build rapport with patients
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Positive and patient demeanor
