Background

  • Works under direct supervision of the Purchasing Manager in a GMP regulated manufacturing environment operating under Q7A standards.
  • Performs manual and clerical duties related to inspecting, storing, organizing, data entry and delivering a variety of raw materials, packaging components, parts equipment and supplies associated with company purchases.
  • Primary function of data entry into ERP/MRP system and maintaining accurate information in support of the organization.

Tasks

  • Accurately receive all chemical raw materials, packaging components and MRO parts into Ross ERP system.
  • Responsible for receiving and organizing raw materials and packaging components for inbound shipments and entering receipts into the ERP system.
  • Process bin location moves and changes in the ERP system.
  • Communicate inbound packing list receipt discrepancies with the Purchasing and Maintenance Departments to resolve issues.
  • Assist Material Handlers with the receiving and offloading of deliveries as needed.
  • Help develop receiving processes and determine staging area locations to distribute items.
  • Inspect items for damage and sort packages for delivery.
  • Reconciles shipments to invoice specifications, packing slips, or other documents.
  • Responsible for accuracy of shipping documents and verifying receiving receipts with open orders.
  • Sign and maintain packing slips for Accounting Dept.
  • Deliver packing list documents on a daily basis to Accounting Dept.
  • Responsible for proper delivery of shipments, either to department or individual.
  • Responsible for upkeep of warehouse – appearance/organization
  • Maintain inventory system accuracy in accordance with company policy and best practices.
  • Monitors and maintains physical inventory, coordinating invoices for parts and file system.
  • Strong communication skills to interact with suppliers, Jost management and co-workers.
  • Operate Pallet jack or forklift as needed.

Specifications

  • Completed high school diploma or community college degree in business, logistics, supply chain and warehouse operations experience preferred.
  • 3 years of experience in data entry receiving in ERP with manufacturing, distribution/GMP environment preferred.
  • 3 years of experience in Shipping/Receiving in a manufacturing/distribution environment.
  • Knowledge of:
    1. Mathematics, English comprehension both written and oral
    2. Computer data entry preferred (Microsoft Windows, Excel, Word, ERP/MRP systems)
    3. Warehousing and inventory practices, commercial office supplies, basic familiarity with industrial tools (visual I.D.)
    4. Safety, health and environment rules and regulations, policies, and procedures
  • Skill in:
    1. Attention to detail and record keeping.
    2. Data Entry and system reconciliation.
    3. Organizational skills
    4. Shipping and Receiving functions.
  • Ability to:
    1. Work in extreme cold and hot (120F) environment when necessary.
