CNC Operator

Mold Maker

Mold Makers are responsible for laying out, building, fine-tuning and repairing injection molds. Must be proficient with CAD/CAM software to create tool paths from solid models. Select proper materials and tooling, creating drawings, producing CNC code to complete assigned tasks. Mold makers must be experienced and proficient with equipment such as surface grinder, CNC and manual mills & Lathes, wire EDM & die sinkers, OD GRINDERs and jig bore.

Job Description:

• Must have toolmakers experience in injection molds
• Able to perform safe operation of a manual milling machines and lathes
• Capable of programming, set-up, and operation CNC milling machines, CNC WEDM Machines, CNC Die Machines, Manual EDM machines, saws, surface grinders
• Able to interpret customer/supplier parts, drawings, and files
• Understand mold layouts
• Fabricate high quality injection molds
• fine tune and repair molds based on feedback
• conduct mold maintenance

Experience and Education:

• 5-10 years toolmaker experience within injection molding
• High School/ GED
• SolidWorks
• Years working in a manufacturing environment
