Description

Leidos currently has an exciting opportunity for a Network Specialist based at Warner Robins AFB. This position will be on site at Warner Robins, but will support a flexible, telework friendly schedule.

What You'll Get to Do:

  • Support Special Projects engineering and technical services in the C2ISR Division (HBG) based at Robins AFB with operations located worldwide
  • Provide assistance to senior personnel covering a broad range of programs including planning, designing, and evaluating various components of the network
  • Assist the engineering team with a network fiber install for subsea cables and terrestrial cables, including a backup SATCOM system.
  • Be part of a team to provide system enhancements, software installation, integration, testing, and deployment services for closed user groups in support of intelligence systems.

Primary Responsibilities

You will provide assistance to the engineering team for the design, build, integrate, test, and transfer to operations of a fiber optic subsea cable system in an OCONUS location. You may also be required to provide occasional support to the Special Projects secure communications and data transfer network. You will be helping to establish secure communications operational data transfer between various CONUS and OCONUS sites; assisting with designing, installing, administering, and maintaining secure communications capabilities between existing and new sites; and helping to write Operations and Maintenance (O&M) documentation and training.

  • Assist with efforts to maintain and enhance information systems and networks.
  • Participate and support technical reviews and meetings with the customer.
  • Be part of a team that ensures systems are properly maintained and updated to address vulnerabilities and meet all cybersecurity requirements
  • Support efforts for ATO packages, system backups and configuration baselines are tracked and managed.
  • Support the team in researching, evaluating, planning, designing, and delivering network solutions.
  • Help review new and existing system designs for compliance with network security standards and best practices.
  • Assist team to establish and maintain SOPs, user documentation, and training material.
  • Maintain topologies, drawings, and equipment lists.
  • Conduct research on emerging technologies in support of enterprise operations.

Basic Qualifications

  • BS degree and 2+ years of relevant experience or Masters with less than 2 years of experie
  • U.S. citizenship
  • Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance
  • Ability to develop solutions to technical problems and issues that are limited in complexity and require moderate technical knowledge.
  • Demonstrated ability to diagnose somewhat complex system problems and help with the development of solutions.
  • Ability to participate in cross-functional planning, coordination, and task execution situations involving the full spectrum of system integration activities.
  • Ability to work well with people from many different disciplines with varying degrees of technical experience.
  • Ability to express technical concepts effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to travel when needed by the program.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CompTIA Security+ Certification
  • An active Secret clearance
  • Working knowledge Network security
  • Experience with managing server and storage resources
  • Experience maintaining the security of networks
  • Experience deploying and configuring routers, switches, VLAN networks
  • Experience with systems and networks
  • Experience with creating plans, policies, and technical documentation
  • Experience with quality and testing
  • Experience with logistics and procurement
  • Working projects that are OCONUS

Pay Range:Pay Range $55,250.00 - $99,875.00
