Position Summary:

LEO Events is searching for a motivated and eager Graphic Design Intern to join our Creative team by assisting with internal marketing collateral. The ideal candidate will be currently enrolled at a 4-year university in a graphic design program or other related field. This internship will provide you with hands-on experience in a fast-paced and collaborative environment, where you'll have the opportunity to develop your design skills and learn from experienced professionals.

The position is based out of our Chattanooga, TN office and is required to work from the office throughout the duration of the internship.


Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

· Assist the design team in creating graphics for digital and print collateral, including but not limited to social media posts, website assets, email campaigns, presentations, and other marketing related materials.

· Produce items for LEO Initiatives and internal events

· Collaborate with team members to brainstorm and conceptualize design ideas that effectively communicate our brand message and resonate with our target audience.

o Join in on weekly graphic design team meeting.

o Sit in on RFP (Request for Proposal) and internal calls to understand other facets of what LEO handles creatively.

· Support the design team on the production process by preparing files for print and web, ensuring that product is optimized properly for quality and consistency.

· Learning and utilizing filing systems, naming conventions, and processes of the department is a requirement to further develop organizational skills.


Qualifications

· Enrolled or recently graduated from a 4-year university.

· Must provide cover letter, resume, and portfolio with samples of work/projects that display items such as logos, brand development, editorial/layout, etc.


Competencies:

· Knowledge in Mac OSX, Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.

· Experience using Canva and/or other web-based design programs.

· Understanding of design within Keynote and PowerPoint.

· Operational knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.

· Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize multiple projects.

· Respect and maintains confidentiality and professionalism both internally and for clients

· Ability to interact collaboratively and cross-functionally among different team members and departments.


Environmental Conditions and Physical Demands:

Employee required to spend a portion of time in a seated position looking at a computer screen. Employee will be required to do some standing and walking. Employee will be in a well-lighted, heated, and/or air-conditioned indoor office setting with adequate ventilation.
