What’s a typical day as a Mortgage Payment Processor? You’ll be:
• Accurately and timely processing customer mortgage payments to the servicing system.
• Reconciling all posted items and performing disbursements.
• Contacting attorney, title agents, and borrowers for short payoffs.
• Setting up and maintaining ACH accounts.
• Working on pending and exception items to minimize company risk.
• Scanning mortgage payments into the servicing system and depository bank.
• Opening and processing mail, tracking and documenting incoming Cash Management items.
• Performing data analysis and reconciliation of payment applications.
• Conducting root cause analysis to minimize risk to the company.
• Making individual fact-based decisions within authority level.
• Researching and remediating issues based on minimal data.
• Adjusting and learning quickly.
• Performing other related duties as assigned.

This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
• Have a high school diploma or GED.
• Preferably have a vocational/technical school certificate or associate or bachelor's degree.
• Have 0-1 years of related work experience, or 2-4 years of related work experience preferred.
• Have experience with Sagent, LoanServ, or other mortgage servicing systems (a plus).
• Possess accounting/mathematical skills, including the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
• Have data entry experience with quick and accurate typing skills.
• Have intermediate Excel knowledge and the ability to manipulate data.
• Have experience with banking software, including depositing, posting, and balancing checks.
