We are seeking a talented and motivated Electrical Engineer - Controls to join our dynamic team in the Energy industry. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and maintaining electrical control systems and/or components to required specifications. The focus will be on economy, safety, reliability, quality, and sustainability. This role requires strong knowledge of high-voltage power, DCS, PLC, and EIT. With 3+ years of experience in the field, the candidate will be equipped to handle complex projects and deliver innovative solutions.

Responsibilities:

1. Design, develop, and implement electrical systems and controls consistent with project specifications and safety standards.
2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess system requirements, identify solutions, and troubleshoot issues.
3. Perform detailed calculations to establish manufacturing, construction, and installation standards and specifications.
4. Use specialized software to create and test electrical schematics, device layouts, and system designs.
5. Monitor and ensure the efficient operation of equipment and machinery.
6. Interpret and apply the codes, standards, regulations, and requirements for electrical systems.
7. Conduct research to assist with the design, development, and testing of electrical equipment and devices.
8. Prepare and present technical reports, data, and project status updates to stakeholders.
9. Train and mentor junior engineers and other team members on electrical engineering concepts and procedures.
10. Stay updated with the latest advancements in electrical engineering and adapt to new tools and software.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
2. A minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical control systems, preferably in the Energy industry.
3. Proficiency in DCS, PLC, EIT, and high voltage power.
4. Strong understanding of electrical machines, control systems, and power electronics.
5. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex electrical systems.
6. Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
7. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
8. Proficiency in using electrical design software and tools.
9. Ability to work in a team and independently.
10. Familiarity with industry standards, safety norms, and government regulations.
11. Professional Engineering (PE) license is a plus.
