Family Medicine/Same Day APP (NP or PA) in Paynesville, MN

CentraCare is hiring two full-time (each at .75 FTE) Family Medicine Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to work with our team at the Paynesville clinic for an exciting new opportunity seeing patients in our Walk-In clinic.  Experience preferred, ability to see all age ranges.

Responsibilities

As a provider seeing Same Day patients, you will independently see patients primarily in person (some virtual visits to be offered) of all ages for acute care needs such as:

• Abdominal pain
• Acute injury evaluation
• Cuts requiring stitches
• Fever, dehydration, nausea or vomiting
• Headaches/migraines
• Minor injuries; breaks, sprains and strains
• Pediatric illness and injuries

Lab, Imaging, and Pharmacy located onsite. 

Schedule

• .75 FTE (three-day work weeks rotating Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday; Monday, Thursday, Friday)
• Monday through Friday day clinic hours; no evenings, overnights or holidays
• Rotation into Saturday morning clinic

Requirements

Eligibility for the position entails:

• Completion of a formal nurse practitioner or physician assistant program approved by a national accrediting agency
• Certified as a Nurse Practitioner or a Physician Assistant
• Current or pending licensure in the State of Minnesota, licensed to see pediatrics through geriatrics
• BLS Certification

Experience

Position open to new graduates though experience preferred.  Relevant work experience is one of the following areas helpful:

• Family Medicine
• Emergency Department
• Pediatrics
• Walk-In Clinic/Urgent Care
