Wonderful opportunity for an Optometrist to join a thriving, state-of-the-art practice in DeWitt, IA 4 day work week, extensive benefits, and student loan repayment options. New grads welcome!
They seek an Optometrist to join them in their brand-new spacea state-of-the-art, six-lane office complete with an expansive optical, in-house edging system, and plenty of room for additional specialty practices and/or medical care. This practice started over forty years ago to support rural communities with quality eye care and vision materials. They have expanded their areas of focus beyond refractive care to include the diagnosis and treatment of anterior and posterior disease, specialty contact lenses, ocular surface disease, and management of myopia.
Overview of the position:
- 4 day work week flexible
- M-F only, no weekends or call
- About 50% medical exams, 50% routine
- Brand new facility
- Techs provide pre-testing
- EHR: MaximEyes
- Patients scheduled every 30 minutes with 1 follow-up per hour
Responsibilities of the Optometrist:
- See 2-3 patients per hour
- Work 3, 4, or 4.5 days per week (you choose your schedule)
- Diagnose and manage various eye diseases such as glaucoma and AMD
- Cataract post-ops (1-day and 7-day)
- Fit soft contact lenses and specialty lenses as needed
- Provide quality routine vision exams
- Myopia management
Compensation Package:
- First year $58-$65 per hour DOE plus bonus incentives

Minimum qualifications:
- Doctor of Optometry degree (O.D.) *Please do not apply if you are not an Optometrist*
- Valid Iowa license to practice Optometry
