Head Cross Country Coach (Men's & Women's)Description/Job Summary

The Head Coach will direct all aspects of practice sessions, recruiting, team management, study hall, travel, and duties as assigned.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Run all aspects of the program including but not limited to recruiting, scouting, scheduling, running practices, coaching, and teaching methodology
  • Monitor student academic progress
  • Ability to recruit and graduate quality athletes
  • Assist in the preparation of team budget
  • Other duties as assigned
Required Education
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
Required Qualifications
  • Previous successful coaching or playing experience at the high school or collegiate level
  • Recruiting experience
  • A strong network of coaches
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently, while maintaining ties with the team through communication and coordination
  • A high degree of creativity, vision, and resourcefulness
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and goals
  • Must be able to work nights and weekends and postseason events; some travel involved
