Summary of Need:
Bone Marrow Transplant RNs are responsible for coordinating and overseeing the care of patients undergoing transplantation. They assess patients' physical and emotional well-being, manage symptoms and side effects and closely monitor patients for signs of graft-versus-host disease, infection or other complications. These nurses also provide education on post-transplant care and lifestyle adjustments.
