Summary

The MIL Corporationseeks apart-timeAdministrative Assistant Ito support our corporate service centers and operations team at our Bowie, MD location.

This position currently requires a hybrid schedule with 2 days on-site (12 hours, preferably 6 hours on Tuesday and 6 hours on Thursday). Schedule is subject to change based on company/contract requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support for the corporate service centers and operations team.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for all incoming calls, daily checks of the organizations receptionist voice mail system and distribute departmental messages as needed
  • Maintain vendor accounts and corporate vendors log, monthly meter reads, purchase requisitions, archive and maintain the e-filing systems, retrieve, and distribute electronic invoices for processing.
  • Distribute employee acknowledgment notices, anniversary incentives, floral arrangements, plan/organize luncheons, and employee social events
  • Manage the FedEx accounts including producing labels, supplies, and departmental mail distribution
  • Manage the Staples Advantage account including order approvals, office supplies and office equipment as necessary
  • Assist with tracking and distribution of correspondence for company assets through property custody inventory log and database.
  • Track all purchases on VP of Administration Amex account and coordinate travel arrangements.
  • Assist other departments as needed

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of three years of relevant experience
  • Knowledge of basic office management procedures
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills, and problem-solving capabilities
  • Experience supporting senior-level executives and assisting multiple departments as needed
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work assignments, utilizing a strong attention to detail
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office Products (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)

Salary at MIL is determined based on factors such as qualifications, experience, and contractual limitations. For this position, the projected compensation range is $18.00 - $22.00 per hour.
