Job Overview:

FAR Government is looking for qualified personnel to perform speech/language Pathologists for all students at the St. Stephens Indian School.


Job Details:

  • Job Title: Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Type: Part-time.
  • Location: 128 Mission Rd., St. Stephens, WY 82524.

Qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience, preferably with Native American students.
  • Masters Degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • certificate of Clinical Competence Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) (preferred).
  • State license (License in the state of Wyoming).

Tasks, Duties:

  • Assesses students' communication skills (e.g., articulation, language fluency, voice, etc.) for the purpose of determining their speech and language deficits and developing recommendations.
  • Consults with teachers, parents, other personnel, and/or outside professionals for the purpose of providing requested information, developing plans for services, and/or making recommendations.
  • Instruct students for the purpose of implementing goals for remediation of speech and language deficits.
  • Participate in meetings: IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team meetings for the purpose of developing plans and/or providing information regarding student's functional goals.
  • Prepare documentation (e.g., evaluations, observations, progress, contacts with parents, teachers, and outside professionals, etc.) for the purpose of providing written support, developing recommendations, and/or conveying information.
  • Present information on various topics related to the area of professional expertise or the purpose of communicating information and gaining feedback on treatment issues.
  • Research resources and methods (i.e., intervention and treatment techniques, assessment tools and methods, community resources, etc.) for the purpose of determining appropriate approaches for students' speech and language services.
  • Screen students for the purpose of determining and assessing according to laws regarding minority non-discriminatory practices.
