Job Description
We are looking for a new full-time delivery driver as we look to expand in 2024. The primary responsibility of this position is delivering building materials and maintaining the equipment; however, since we are a small business, there will be overlap with other positions.
DUTIES:
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
DUTIES:
- Verify load against shipping papers.
- Provide Outstanding Customer Service and always represent the business with a professional appearance and demeanor.
- Unload shipment utilizing safe unloading practices and knowledge of construction sites.
- Collect payment for goods delivered and for delivery charges if not prepaid.
- Maintain contact with Sales team to receive delivery instructions.
- Inspect truck equipment such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil and water.
- Daily Maintenance Inspection.
- Build loads, stock lumber, load customers, and plan future loads when not actively on deliveries.
- Miscellaneous duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Knowledge of commercial driving regulations and safe driving practices.
- Must have a clean driving record.
- For-Hire endorsement or Class B CDL
- Lifting required up to 80lbs.
- Willingness to work outdoors in the heat or in the cold.
