Practice Manager – Full-Time

In collaboration with the Director of Primary Care and other appropriate Osceola Medical Center leaders, the Practice Manager oversees the daily operations of the OMC primary care and specialty clinics including the patient access department.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of three years of ambulatory work experience, required.
  • Three years of progressive management/leadership experience, preferred.

Supervisory Responsibilities Include:

  • Direct supervision and management of the Family Practice Clinic Supervisor, Patient Access Lead, Specialty Clinic Lead, and the Oncology Lead.
  • The clinic staff is currently comprised of 17 providers and a team of 45 staff members.

Primary Responsibilities Include:

  • Provides overall direction and management of daily operations for the clinic and specialty department that provides for the delivery of safe, patient/family-centered, evidence-based, culturally competent, age-relevant, high quality and efficient care in the OMC clinic setting.
  • Supports the development and implementation of department workflows that align with the overall mission and strategy of the organization, resulting in innovative, best practices that will service the full range of OMC’s patient needs and contributes to a high-performing culture of success, accountability, transparency and collaboration.
  • Monitors patient volumes, quality of care, and performance of staff to identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborates with physician dyad partner to ensure safe and competent clinical care.
  • Supports the implementation of department policies and procedures that effectively support the OMC's mission and strategic vision include patient centered care and organizational efficiency.
  • Develops department specific plans and strategies to support the achievement of the overall business operations objectives.
  • Develops department specific strategic key performance indicators (KPIs) and assists in the implementation of plans to meet the KPI.
  • Responsibility for hiring, setting performance expectations and management of staff.
  • Responsible for recruiting and retaining clinic staff and development of staff onboarding and annual competency plans.
  • Develops, analyzes, and monitors department budget, volumes, and FTEs.
