POSITION OVERVIEW

We are currently seeking an experienced Commercial HVAC Installer/Mechanic to join the fast-growing Timco Team in Buford, GA. The ideal candidate will have a can-do attitude and strong problem- solving skills, as well as a high level of customer service.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• HVAC Installer/Mechanic will install heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems in new commercial construction and tenant offices
• Complete paperwork daily, recording materials used on each job, in accurate manner.
• Able to independently install new HVAC systems
• Ability to wire up all basic HVAC low voltage wiring: furnace, a/c, thermostats, zone controls
• Ability to fabricate duct fittings and lay out job without supervision
• Ability to read blueprints and lay out duct

QUALIFICATIONS

• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
• Active EPA certificate
• Visual acuity sufficient to read instructions, wiring diagrams, blueprints, to install and replace HVAC equipment and parts
• Mechanical aptitude and the ability to operate, or learn to operate, all necessary tools and equipment
• Available to work flexible hours and on-call shifts as needed
• Ability to frequently lift 75 pounds and ability to lift and regularly carry items weighing up to 50 pounds
• Sufficient physical ability to work in awkward places and from ladders or scaffolding as required by projects
• Physical ability to endure high and low outside temperatures

ORGANIZATIONAL ALIGNMENT

This position reports to the local construction manager, and has a responsibility to the entire construction team and all of our customers.

Environmental Requirements

Will be required to work in a field environment, traveling to multiple customer sites on a daily basis.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job:

the employee is regularly required to use hands to operate computer keyboard, reach with hands and arms.

The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, and sit.

The employee is continually required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 75 pounds without assistance.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
