Mammo Hostess

Position Title: Mammo Assistant/Hostess Status: Non- Exempt

Reports To: Operations Manager Created: April 1, 2019

Summary:

Perform administrative duties utilizing specific knowledge of medical terminology and exam procedures. Duties include scheduling appointments, registering patients, and compiling and recording medical charts, reports, and correspondence.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provides excellent customer service to patients by demonstrating a caring attitude, goes out of the way to assist them, help patients complete paperwork, as necessary, and diffuses upset patients seeking supervisory assistance when needed.
• Checks patient in to room on Abbadox
• Takes patient to changing room and change in to gown
• Scan patient records in to Abbadox and PACS
• Verifies doctor's orders
• Works with Technicians and assist as needed
• Communicates with Radiology Assistant as needed.
• Obtains copy of previous report
• Assists in completing pregnancy form and previous image requests with patient
• Interviews patients to complete pregnancy form and previous image request.
• Compiles and records medical charts, reports, and correspondence, using computer; Transmits correspondence and medical records by mail, email or fax
• Checks patient out of Abbadox

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of one (1) year experience working in a medical related office
• Experience and knowledge in handling telephones, computer terminals, monies and patient records
• Medical terminology preferred
• Computer proficiency required
