Master Planner/Scheduler

As a Master Scheduler, you are responsible for developing and maintaining a comprehensive schedule that integrates all activities required to successfully execute projects or operations. You will play a critical role in ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget and work closely with various teams and stakeholders to ensure effective coordination and communication throughout the project lifecycle.

Master Scheduler Responsibilities

1. Develop and manage an integrated master schedule for BMW operations, considering dependencies, constraints, and resource availability.
2. Collaborate with department managers to understand project requirements, objectives, and milestones.
3. Identify and assess risks, issues, and conflicts that may impact the schedule, and develop mitigation plans.
4. Regularly update and maintain the master schedule by incorporating changes, updates, and adjustments as necessary.
5. Monitor project progress and identify any deviations from the schedule, taking proactive measures to address delays or other issues.
6. Conduct regular meetings and discussions with project teams to review and analyze project status, identify bottlenecks, and recommend solutions.
7. Provide accurate and timely reports, dashboards, and visualizations that communicate project status, key metrics, and performance indicators to management and stakeholders.
8. Continuously improve scheduling processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
9. Train and mentor project team members on best practices for schedule management and adherence.
10. Collaborate with procurement and resource management teams to ensure alignment between the schedule and resource allocation.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in business administration, engineering, or a related field preferred
2. Proven experience as a Master Scheduler or similar role, preferably in a project-based environment.
3. Demonstrated ability to manage complex schedules in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
4. Strong knowledge of project management principles, methodologies, and tools.
5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
6. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
