Job Title: Fertility Receptionist
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Summary: Responsible for making sure the office runs in a timely and efficient manner. Ensures patient safety and care and communicates with the clinical staff regularly.
Schedule: Full time, day shift Monday through Friday with participation in weekend and holiday rotation.
Required Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Check in patients for provider follow up talks, provider consults, pre-admission testing, follow up surgeries, blood work and ultrasounds, OR procedures, transfers, and any other clinical appointments.
- Have patients complete consent forms and/or financial documents when necessary
- Collect co-pay payments and balances due from patients
- Faxing/scanning/insurance verification
- Medical Records/FMLA
- Keep track of all patient whereabouts
- Maintain lobby cleanliness including restocking supplies
- Escort male patients to the collection room when needed
- Collect semen samples from patients and deliver them to the lab immediately
- Assist clinical staff with cleanup of patient rooms when needed
- Check for incoming faxes and attach them to the appropriate patient charts
- Escort OR procedure patients and consult follow up talks to the proper rooms
- Keep the nurses and providers aware of the arrival of patients and any appointment changes
- Chart prep for the following day
- Properly open and close the front area each day according to standard operating procedure

Education/Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or experience working in medical setting.
