Supervisor, Distribution

Location: Blue Ridge Summit, PA

Rowman & Littlefield/National Book Network (NBN) is seeking full-time Supervisor in the Shipping Department

Responsibilities

• Supervise employees of the staging and packaging area.
• Supervise and oversee the shipping office and dock area
• Oversee the fulfillment of customer orders.
• Oversee orders to ensure shipments are shipped per customer requirements.
• Oversee small package preparation of small single orders.
• Use of the RF Scanner
• Communicate operations to management.
• Prepare and maintain accurate shipping documents
• Submit daily manifest for end of day processes
• Oversee and Maintain company Box truck logs and runs to and from our Maryland facility

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Ability to work with an RF Scanner
• Experience in Microsoft Word and Excel
• High Level of organization skills
• Extreme attention to detail
• Ability to read and understand instructions, work independently and problem solve.
• Experience shipping international and domestic shipments
• Ability to lift up to 70lbs
• Ability to walk on concrete floor
• Prioritize and work well under pressure
• Perform basic math computations
• Bending, stretching, pushing, pulling and stooping
