Warehouse/Production Supervisor

About the Position

We are in search of a dynamic and experienced Supervisor who is passionate about driving process improvements and solving operational challenges. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in optimizing warehouse operations by re-establishing efficient processes and fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and brining supply chain and manufacturing management experience to this new role. This role requires a strong leader who can not only manage daily warehouse and production activities but also proactively identify and implement process enhancements for optimal performance and utilize previous experience to elevate the current operations of the facility.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Manage and oversee all site activities, including processing, receiving, storing, handling, shipping, and preparing products for shipment.
  • Evaluate current operations and make improvements based on best practices and Lean manufacturing principles. Champion the redesign and optimization of site processes, including processing, receiving, storing, handling, shipping, and product preparation, with a focus on efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Innovate and implement advanced inventory management procedures to maintain optimal stock levels, minimizing excess or shortages, and improving overall inventory accuracy.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to enhance shipment and delivery coordination, ensuring precise and timely dispatch of products.
  • Lead and inspire a team of warehouse and production team members, providing guidance, training, and support to foster a culture of continuous improvement, productivity, and strict adherence to safety regulations.
  • Drive the evaluation and maintenance of warehouse equipment, initiating repairs or replacements as needed to ensure seamless operations.
  • Uphold and enhance safety protocols and regulations, creating and maintaining a secure working environment for all team members.
  • Conduct regular process audits to ensure ongoing improvements, identify discrepancies, and promptly address any issues that may arise, and identify root causes.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with departments such as production, logistics, procurement, and customer service, fostering effective communication and optimizing warehouse operations.
  • Generate insightful reports on warehouse activities, including inventory levels, shipment schedules, and staff performance, to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Manage a team of 10 + team members.

Skills and Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Proven experience in a manufacturing, supply chain leadership role, with a track record of driving process improvements and operational excellence.
  • Experience with Lean manufacturing, 5S, automation, process optimization and root cause analysis.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills, demonstrating the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a process-driven environment.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, effectively communicating and motivating a team towards continuous improvement. Be willing to get your hands dirty to help the team excel.
  • Proficiency in using warehouse management software and systems for advanced inventory tracking and management. Proficient level experience with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Teams, and other Microsoft Products. Experience with Power BI. Knowledge of safety and regulatory standards in warehouse operations.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, adapting to changing demands and priorities with a problem-solving mindset.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to make quick, effective decisions to enhance warehouse efficiency and address operational challenges.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to stand/walk for up to 8-10 hours.
  • Lift and move totes up to 60 pounds.
  • Regular bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching both below the waist and above the head.
  • Should be able to work in environments with variable noise levels, lighting conditions and temperature variation and able to access all areas of building without limitations.
