Full Time, Part Time & Per Diem - Days/Evenings/Nights

** Pay rate up to $40/hour ** + up to $20,000 Sign On Bonus

United Methodist Communities is currently seeking an LPN: Licensed Practical Nurse for Bristol Glen Senior Care Community located in Newton, NJ. Bristol Glen, Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC), is a thoughtfully designed and meticulously maintained 75-acre campus providing exceptional options for senior care living.

The LPN: Licensed Practical Nurse is responsible for rendering professional nursing care to resident's while exercising good judgment and respecting confidential matters.

Requirements for an LPN: Licensed Practical Nurse:

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Some nursing experience in a related field preferred.
  • Current New Jersey LPN: Licensed Practical Nurse License.

Responsibilities for an LPN: Licensed Practical Nurse:

  • Assist with medication and treatment administration
  • Notifies physicians and/or responsible party of any change in resident's health and provides proper documentation.
  • Assist residents. Analyze obtained information. Record signs of change in condition. Notify appropriate staff per facility protocol. Observe conditions and notify appropriate staff per UMC policy and procedure of the need for evaluation. Inform the physician of changes in assessment when appropriate.
  • Monitor certified nursing/medication assistants.
  • Accurately and promptly transcribes orders (MAR/TAR) into EMR. Provides nursing care according to physician's orders and in conformance with recognized nursing techniques and procedures, established standards, and policies.
  • Recognizes and interprets symptoms and reports resident's condition.
  • Completion of assessment/ reassessment and the service plan in conjunction with the residents' family, the personal care assistants/ medication aides and other necessary individuals.
  • Assist in the coordination of move-in & orients new residents to the facility. Assist in the coordination of move-outs & coordinates with the staff of alternative settings.
  • Chart nurses' notes in an informative and descriptive manner.
  • Complete accident/incident reports as necessary per policies and procedures.
  • Counts for all narcotics at the beginning and end of each shift, signs for count and exchanges keys to medication carts and the medication room at the end of shift.
