Job Summary

Perform all essential functions required to support production operations.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions)

These are functions a qualified incumbent or applicant must be able to perform with or without reasonable accommodations.

  • Keep work orders up to date both on pick slip and computer.
  • Complete accurate cycle counts.
  • Use forklift to load and unload trucks.
  • Maintain fork/clamp trucks (i.e. changing/filling propane bottles, check fluid levels, etc.)
  • Store raw materials in bins and place transfer in system correctly.
  • Troubleshoot transfers.
  • Keep production machines stocked with material and have all materials prepared for Operator to run job.
  • Maintain raw material areas.
  • Use clamp truck to stock presses when large rolls required.
  • Fill out Material Rejection Forms and distribute to appropriate people.
  • Maintain inventory through cycle counts.
  • Responsible for cleanliness and organization of receiving area.
  • Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
  • Have the ability to work cooperatively with others.
  • Follow all facility safety policies, procedures and reporting protocols
  • Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Other (Non-Essential) Functions

Includes functions which are normally performed by persons holding this title. However, these functions may be reassigned to other employees as part of a “Reasonable Accommodation” under the ADA.

  • Contributes to a team effort by proactively assisting internal contacts
  • Attend training programs to develop relevant knowledge, techniques, and skills
  • All other duties assigned by immediate supervisor on an as need basis

Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Forklift experience/certification in a manufacturing environment
  • Basic computer and math skills, ability to compute rate, ratio, percent and bar graphs
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions
  • Ability to work extended hours as required
  • Ability to handle a multiple tasks with varying deadlines
  • Ability to work with extremely confidential information/situations and maintain confidentiality
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills through all levels of management
  • Communicate ideas concisely and effectively in oral and written form, including preparation and delivery of production meeting on assigned shift.

Physical Requirements and Environmental Conditions

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close-up vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Regular exposure to manufacturing environment with one or more unpleasant hazardous conditions including but not limited to exposure to dust, dirt, high noise levels, chemicals more than 50% of the work time.
  • Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.
  • Remaining upright on the feet, particularly for sustained periods of time on a concrete floor, moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances or moving from one work site to another.
  • Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word; those activities where detailed or important spoken instructions must be conveyed to others accurately, loudly, or quickly.
  • Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction, and having the ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and making fine discriminations in sound.
  • Able to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.
  • Attendance and Punctuality are essential.
