We are seeking an experienced Salon Manager to join our team in Ridgefield, CT. However SALON EXPERIENCE itself is not required, will also consider those who have worked in a hospitality management role with a passion for hair and beauty!

Responsibilities of the position:

• Master the salon POS system and use it to create and manage bookings
• Act as floor manager of all hospitality services and front desk staff
• Manage salon schedule to ensure appropriate staffing
• Support and communicate with the stylists
• Ensure the salon provides outstanding customer service
• Manage product and supply inventories and place orders
• Understand sales targets and work with stylists to meet goals
• Assist with Interviewing and training other front desk staff
• Understand and effectively communicate the pricing structure to clients
• Ensure the salon is always clean and tidy
• Oversee support operations such as laundry, dishwashing, cleaning and sweeping
• Help foster a positive, happy and fun work environment
• Attend and present at staff meetings
• Ensure the salon is a non-smoking/non-vaping environment at all times
• Lend support with social media and marketing efforts
• Communicate with and escalate issues to Salon Operations Manager/Owner as needed

Schedule:

• Salon Manager Full time, 40h/week. Baseline schedule is 9a-5p, Tue-Sat, however we offer flexibility.

Compensation:

• Hourly wage $21-$23/hr to start depending on experience. Opportunities for advancement over time.

Qualifications required:

• Motivated, easy to get along with, reliable, coachable
• Previous experience in a busy hospitality role
• Beauty salon experience a plus
