Marathon Physical Therapy & Sports Medicine is a privately owned, multi-location practice with a staff of Physical Therapists, Athletic Trainers, Strength and Conditioning Coaches and various other health and wellness professionals (massage therapists, pilates/ yoga instructors, and personal trainers)  all with a mission to provide high quality Rehabilitation services along with complementary health & wellness, and performance programs.


Marathon Physical Therapy is seeking a full time Athletic Trainer to join our dynamic team!


JOB DESCRIPTION


Summary/Objective


  • The Athletic Trainer's primary responsibility will be to provide exceptional athlete care and service in compliance with NATA and State Practice Act as defined by MGL Chapter 112: Section 23A and CMR 2.59-4.0 for one of our contracted High School Athletic Training outreach programs.  Additional responsibilities include clinic support at one of our area Physical Therapy/ Sports Medicine clinics, providing ancillary care for teams or other organizations with whom Marathon Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine has a contractual relationship, support role in summer Strength and Conditioning programs and helping to foster relationships and be a champion within the communities we provide care for.

Minimum Requirements


Education: Minimum of bachelor’s degree from an CAATE accredited Athletic Training Education program


Current NATABOC Certification


Massachusetts state license.


License: Current or eligible for Certified Athletic Training license issued by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.


Physical Demands


The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to


successfully perform the essential functions of this job.


Occasional lifting of up to 30# required to move/transfer supplies and equipment. Frequent to constant


standing and walking. Frequent to constant sitting for long period of time to attend meetings and


complete documentation as necessary. Frequent reaching, bending, stooping, squatting, kneeling, and


gripping. Frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk; or


hear.
