QUALIFICATIONS:
Functional Skills:
Uses Allen wrenches, screwdrivers, light hammers, and combination wrenches
Assembles / disassembles mechanical devices / assemblies, tool holders or similar objects
Uses micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, bore gauges
Possesses mechanical aptitude for mechanical assemblies, machinery
Technical Skills:
Reads Blueprints - Views, Tolerance Block, Revision Block, Notes
Uses Precision Measurement Equipment
Uses a PC for basic data entry, label making, document retrieval
Uses GD&T Dimensional values – preferred
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Adheres to safety rules at all times wearing proper PPE required for task being performed and follows Company policies at all times
Maintains a clean and orderly work environment at all times
With close supervision, assists Setter Operators with running lathes / mills
Cleans and cares for machines as instructed
Masters all skills necessary to become a Level I Setter Operator
Under the close supervision of a Lead worker, verifies settings by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample work pieces; adhering to international standards
Understands the importance of maintaining continuity between work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
Completes production documentation and quality logs.
Works overtime as required.
Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
High school, or technical school.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
English: fluent
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Able to add and subtract decimal and fractional numbers. Able to calculate percentages of whole and fractional numbers.
Able to convert Metric & English Dimensional Values and Tolerance to match machine / print requirements.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
None required, but is a plus.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Standing / walking 95%, sitting 5%.
Pushing carts throughout machine shop.
Able to Lift/Carry up to 50-lbs in awkward positions (above head, outreached arms, inside equipment).
Able to walk / maneuver between assigned equipment.
Able to manipulate small and complex items to measure and change tooling.
Able to balance while manipulating tooling/parts/bar stock inside machinery.
Good eyesight to be able to read small print and technical drawings.
Able to discern differences in colors and shapes.
Pay/Shift Information
· Full-time plus some mandatory OT- Average of about 55 hours from DAY 1!
· 1st Shift: 7am-5:30pm, M-F and 7am-12pm on Saturdays
