We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Set Up Operator to join our manufacturing team. As a CNC Set Up Operator, you will be responsible for setting up and operating computer numerical control (CNC) machines to produce high-quality machined parts. Your expertise in programming, tooling, and maintaining CNC machines will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our production processes.


Responsibilities:

1. Set up and configure CNC machines according to specifications provided by engineering drawings and work orders.

2. Load and unload raw materials and tooling fixtures onto CNC machines for production runs.

3. Program and optimize CNC machines using CAD/CAM software to ensure precise and accurate machining operations.

4. Monitor machine operations, making necessary adjustments to settings to maintain quality standards and prevent errors or defects.

5. Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshoot issues with CNC machines to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.

6. Perform regular inspections on machined parts to verify conformity to specifications and make any necessary adjustments.

7. Collaborate with team members, including engineers and quality control technicians, to identify and resolve manufacturing issues.

8. Maintain accurate documentation of machine settings, tooling changes, and production activities for future reference.


Requirements:

- High school diploma or GED equivalent.

- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a CNC Set Up Operator or similar role in a manufacturing environment.

- Proficiency in setting up and operating CNC machines, including programming and tooling changes.

- Strong knowledge of CAD/CAM software and experience in reading engineering drawings.

- Ability to troubleshoot and perform routine maintenance on CNC machines.

- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.

- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in a team.

- Good communication skills to collaborate with colleagues and report any issues or concerns.
