Job Summary:

The Laser Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining laser machines to perform the measuring, cutting, and production of processed materials within a fast-paced, changing environment at the Roberts Filter Group fabrication facility.

Responsibilities:

Program and operate laser machine to produce specified work product.

Process work orders according to mechanical/technical drawings and specifications.

Review product drawings and make minor revisions where necessary to ensure proper laser operation.

Manage and adhere to production job schedules.

Follow facility and machine safety protocols.

Perform ongoing laser maintenance, calibration, and cleaning as required.

Perform work on other industrial machines such as Waterjet, Punch Press, and Brake as required.

Inspect and measure finished products to ensure quality standards are met or exceeded.

Competencies:

Blueprint reading

Laser operation and maintenance.

Tolerance Interpretation.

Mechanical aptitude.

Adherence to facility safety police and procedures.

Ability to use tape measures, micrometers, and digital and dial calipers.

Flexibility to perform shift work and overtime when needed.

Punctuality and attendance.

Requirements:

1+ year experience working with lasers in a manufacturing or industrial environment.

Ability to read mechanical and technical blueprints and documents.

Prior experience with measuring devices such as calipers and micrometers.

Ability to work Monday to Friday 6:30am-2:30pm shift plus overtime when needed.

Strong mechanical aptitude.

CAD experience a plus.

Proven record of regular attendance and punctuality.

Strong work ethic and attention to detail.

Ability to handle physical workload.
