Summary:
The Cold End Production Supervisor is a front line leader responsible for the safe inspection, packaging, palletizing and pallet staging of glass containers such as bottles, vases and jars, at a quality that consistently exceeds our customers’ expectations. This person is responsible for leading the employees of the largest department in the operations group.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure every employee works in a safe manner, and works in a safe environment.
- Maintain a quality standard that consistently delights our customer.
- Lead, coach, direct, motivate and mentor the Cold End workforce.
- Consistently produce quality glass at an acceptable throughput.
- Make sure all equipment is running properly, and product is flowing at an acceptable pace.
- Make sure all protocols, procedures, SOP’s and policies are followed.
- Ensure all records are accurate, thorough and timely.
- Schedule the workforce and direct work assignments where needed.
- Communicate and work closely with the Hot End and other departments to ensure the efficient production of a quality product.
- Discipline employees as necessary consistently and within accepted guidelines.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 Years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment required.
- Glass container manufacturing experience preferred.
- Supervising in a union environment preferred.
