Small Engine Mechanic

Mow Better Small Engine Repair is a family owned and operated sales and service shop for lawn equipment.

We are currently searching for a mechanic to assist with full services and repairs on lawn mowers and other lawn equipment. This role will be responsible for:

· full services on equipment

· diagnosing problems in equipment

· adding information into computer software

· helping to load and unload customer equipment

· organize area of stored equipment

· pull equipment out for display at beginning of day and bring in at end of day

· maintain a clean and safe work area of any equipment before leaving each day. Put all tools in designated spots.

Applicant must also be able to:

· lift 50 lbs

· have ability to bend or kneel for prolonged periods of time

· have the ability to climb over and into heavy equipment several times per day

· work in weather elements

· wear any hearing or eye protection as required

· be exposed to loud noise, dust, gas and fumes

· operate fork lift, or be able to train to do so

Applicant must have a valid driver’s license, pass any required drug tests and pass background check. Applicant must also have their own tools, specialty tools are provided.
