PRIMARY PURPOSE:

The Fleet Analyst conducts analytical research for Fleet Operations, with a strong emphasis on analyzing all factors that influence program effectiveness.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Gather, analyze, and interpret data from diverse internal and external sources. Based on analyses, generate, and present reports and make recommendations to support annual budget planning, vehicle lifecycle management, vendor performance management, and effectiveness of various fleet programs and services being utilized.
  • Translate and communicate complex data analyses into actionable insights, dashboards, and reports for stakeholders.
  • Analyze data and key performance indicators to pinpoint and report areas of positive performance and discover opportunities for operational enhancement opportunities.
  • Apply knowledge of business processes and technology to solve complex business process and procedural problems.
  • Monitor and lead efforts related to vehicle telematics implementation, reporting and monitoring.
  • Create and deploy dashboards to facilitate daily fleet program management and detect trends that enhance Fleet Operations' effectiveness.
  • Provide scheduled and ad-hoc data metrics/reports to upper management as needed.
  • Create and maintain/coordination with IT for internal tools and Power BI dashboards that support existing business.
  • Collaborate with various teams to ensure effective use of technology for sustainable programs.
  • Document processes, create standard operating procedures (SOPs), and deliver training related to new procedures and processes.
  • Open to supporting additional responsibilities, which may include assisting field personnel with inquiries related to the fleet program, troubleshooting, and addressing questions about vehicle orders, upfitting, title and registrations, as well as violations.
  • Maintain a high level of fleet industry knowledge, including but not limited to: vehicle supply chain issues; vehicle upfitting compatibility by make/model; specific manufacturer's order timelines; fleet related state and federal regulations; etc.
  • Assist management with communicating and administrating policies associated with vehicle and driver policies.
  • Collaborate on proactive solutions to address fleet-related challenges and enhance processes to minimize or eliminate such issues.
  • Manage fleet functions as assigned by Fleet Manager. Functions include development and implementation of policies and procedures, new programs, standards, and user training.
  • Drive development and implementation of system related business process enhancements.
  • Maintain the Departmental SharePoint sites.
  • Promote the use of Company and Department standards in software and systems.
  • Deal with a wide variety of people with tact, courtesy, and professionalism.
  • Partner with Team members, other Departments, and organizations to achieve overall company objectives.
  • Open to working non-traditional hours as needed.
  • Maintain a high regard for personal safety, the safety of company assets and employees, and the public.
  • Other daily, weekly, monthly, or special project duties as identified and defined.


JOB REQUIREMENTS:


Minimum requirements:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Business, Data Science or Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of four (4) years related work experience may be considered as a substitute for a degree.

Experience/Specific Knowledge:

A minimum of two (2) year experience working with ERP systems and data reporting/visualization tools.

A minimum of two (2) years' experience in automotive and/or fleet management. Ideal candidates should have exposure to various aspects, including vehicle acquisitions, upfitting, fuel and maintenance management, telematics, title and registrations, and vehicle remarketing.

  • Proficient in analytical thinking and logical problem-solving, with the capability to dissect complex issues and arrive at effective solutions.
  • Strong proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools, techniques, best practices, and theory.
  • Solid knowledge of business process terms and principles.
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 applications including but not limited to: Excel, Word, Access, Outlook and PowerPoint).
  • Advanced communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear and concise reports and recommendations.
  • Proficient in composing routine reports, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and written correspondence.

Certifications, Licenses & Registrations:

  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and a driving record satisfactory to the company and its insurers.

Competencies, Skills & Abilities:

  • Ability to successfully organize and perform multiple tasks simultaneously, frequently under strict deadlines.
  • Capable of creating predictive models for enhancing Fleet Operations' business planning.
  • Intermediate skills with business process mapping, analytics, and data visualization software.
  • Proficiency in recognizing and evaluating emerging technologies and innovative concepts that can enhance fleet and business value, along with the ability to coordinate their implementation with relevant business units.
  • Demonstrated excellent verbal, listening and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate with a variety of individuals and personalities at all levels internally and externally.
  • Proficient Communication Skills: Whether in face-to-face interactions, over the phone, or via email
  • Possess technical writing skills.
  • Demonstrated experience training in both large and small group settings.
  • Demonstrated basic understanding of Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSRs) and state level commercial motor vehicle regulations.
  • Ability to work independently to manage tasks and timelines.
  • Ability to identify expectations in an employee/employer relationship.
  • Analytical, organizational, reasoning, problem solving and conflict resolutions skills.
  • Ability to successfully perform the required and expected duties with minimal direct supervision, organize and prioritize daily work, and consistently show initiative.

Working Conditions:

  • Required to carry a mobile phone and be available to respond during working and non-working hours.

Supervisory Responsibility:

  • This is not a supervisory position, but you may be called upon to coordinate and oversee special projects and teams.


PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATIONS, COMPETENCIES, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:Above the minimum requirements, not required but advantageous in this position:
  • Previous experience with Business Objects, Concur, and Adobe.
  • Solid understanding of ERP processes and relationships.
  • Experience with business process analysis and mapping.
  • Experience providing end user support.
