Welder - 2nd Shift

*This is a second shift position that requires training on our first shift for approximately 6 months*

• • First shift hours are 7:00 am - 3:30 pm Monday-Friday
  • Second shift hours are 3:15 pm - 11:45 pm Monday-Friday
  • The compensation is $25.43 per hour to start while training on first shift.
  • The compensation once on second shift includes a $1.50 shift differential.
  • This position is eligible for regular increases.

Requirements:

• Shall have a basic understanding of welding principles and be able to safely operate welding equipment and perform simple welding operations involving as a minimum TIG (GTAW) and PLASMA welding methods.
• Shall be able to understand basic weld symbology and be able to; through visual inspection, identify acceptable welds and most major types of weld discontinuities.
• Shall demonstrate proficiency and be capable of obtaining mastery in welding of temperature sensors.
• Shall be able to independently set up and perform a variety of weld operations/geometries which are intended to function as non-structural, structural, and/or pressure-retaining welds.
• Demonstrates the capability of welding complicated designs involving complex set up and fixturing/alignment requirements.
• Capable of troubleshooting basic welding issues.
• Must be able to pass internal qualification requirements.
• Must be able to pass a visual acuity (vision) test and color-blindness test.
