Responsibilities:

Refrigeration, Boiler and Engine Room Supervisor responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Job Summary:

The purpose of the Refrigeration Supervisor is to manage Refrigeration, Boiler Room and man power to ensure the proper operation of plant equipment within established guidelines. This position will also direct, supervise, and lead mechanics according to the preventative maintenance plan.

Essential Functions:

Ensure all job duties are performed within Perdue and OSHA safety procedures including Lockout/Tag and that the required personal protective equipment is worn
Ensure the correct utilization of hand tools and industrial shop equipment
Read and correctly interpret manufacturer’s equipment manuals, preventative maintenance sheets and safety policies and complete all required work sheets and machine check list
Ensure all machines are properly adjusted to operate at established performance standards
Ensure all calibrations, repairs, diagnostics, adjustments and preventative maintenance responsibilities are accomplished in a timely manner to minimize down time
Plan, organize and direct the work of Refrigeration, Boiler and Engine Room employees
Establish and maintain preventive maintenance programs and procedures
Inspect completed work for conformance to specifications and standards
Enforce safety, good manufacturing, and housekeeping practices
Balance quality, productivity, safety and morale to achieve positive results in all areas. Works to continuously improve in all areas.
Ensure effective employee relations. Provides employee coaching and development. Makes employment decisions. Assures that all employees follow company policies, procedures and established work instructions.
Ensure all health and safety policies and regulations are enforced. Performs accident investigations.
Verify labor hours and payroll report accuracy
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Qualified Candidates for the Refrigeration, Boiler and Engine Room Supervisor position should possess the following:

Minimum 3 years maintenance experience and knowledge of refrigeration, plumbing, industrial electrical and mechanical systems required. Previous supervisory experience preferred
Demonstrated knowledge and application of preventative maintenance techniques/scheduling
Working knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
Demonstrated knowledge of efficient and safe manufacturing operations to include product and employee safety, product quality (success rates), and cost control (minimizing downtime and waste)
Experience working with a diverse group of people
Ability to maintain high expectations for self and others, demonstrating a dedication to achievement of results
Demonstrated ability to function successfully in a fast paced, changing work environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate throughout all levels of the organization
Solid problem solving, project management, multi-tasking and ability to prioritize
Detail oriented, organized, reliable and resourceful
Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment
