Role: UI Engineer Location: Falls Church Virginia Type: Full Time Hybrid Position Lateral Insights is in search of a Senior UI Engineer to spearhead the creation of innovative mobile and web-based user-facing applications. Technologies Used: Development Environment: Combination of cloud & on-prem/local Development Tools– Atlassian Suite, Gitlab, Preferred IDE Programming Languages – JavaScript, TypeScript Backend - Backend Node JS and Python Web Frameworks – ReactJS, React Native, Redux Service Layer – AppSync/GraphQL, API Gateway Responsibilities Creating user-centered designs by understanding business requirements, and user feedback Creating multiple user flows, wireframes, prototypes and mockups. Translating requirements into style guides, design systems, design patterns and attractive user interfaces Designing UI elements such as input controls, navigational components, and informational components Creating original graphic designs (e.g. images, sketches and tables) Identifying and troubleshooting UX problems (e.g. responsiveness) Collaborating effectively with product and engineering. Incorporating feedback, usage metrics, and usability findings into design in order to enhance user experience. Comfortable being a primary and a lead performer on the team and has a startup mentality. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelors and 8+ years of relevant frontend work experience MS/MA and 5+ years of relevant work experience Must be local to VA or able to relocate. This is an onsite FULL-TIME role based in VA only that needs applicants to be permanent residents or citizens due to nature of contract.
