Qualifications:
- Certification as an SLP in state of Mississippi
- Minimum2 years working with students with communication disorders
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in supporting the well-being of students
Responsibilities:
- Conducting assessments to identify speech, language, and communication disorders in students
Creating and implementing individualized treatment plans tailored to each student's specific communication disorder
Providing therapy sessions to students with speech and language disorders
Collaborating with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to supportstudents with communication disorders
Regularly assessing and monitoring the progress of students undergoing speech-language therapy
Keeping detailed records of assessments, treatment plans, and progress reports
Attending IEP meetings to discuss the student's progress, set goals, and collaborate with the educational team to support the student's overall development
Staying informed about the latest research, techniques, and trends in speech-language pathology through ongoing professional development
Providing emotional support and counseling to students with speech and language disorders, helping them cope with the challenges they may face in communication
