Civil Process Specialist

Position: Claims Processor (Remote)

Pay: $19/hour

Contract through end of July 2024

Responsibilities:

• Process claims to customer funds received from third parties including garnishments, levies, liens, and information subpoenas from creditors and taxing authorities.
• Handle 1099-K corrections for customers.

Key Duties:

• Ensure accuracy, completeness, and legal sufficiency of garnishments, levies, liens, and subpoenas.
• Review account files to identify impacted customer accounts on platform.
• Manage restraint and release of funds in accounts.
• Prepare and submit response documents to third parties within established timelines and legal requirements.
• Liaise with customers, creditors, taxing authorities, attorneys, and court officers.
• Maintain a tracking system and provide detailed documentation for escalations.
• Assist customers with 1099-K tax form corrections.

Requirements:

• Strong time management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• High level of reading comprehension.
• Strong organizational abilities with keen attention to detail.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Google Docs & Sheets.
• Prior experience with lien, levy, or garnishment processing strongly encouraged.
• Experience with 1099-K tax form corrections is a plus.
