Job Description
Job Summary:
The position involves overseeing commercial construction projects, ensuring goals are met within set timelines and budget constraints. Building and maintaining client and subcontractor relationships are essential aspects of the role.
Requirements:
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
Minimum 10 years of commercial construction experience.
5 years of experience as a Project Engineer or Assistant Superintendent in a similar setting.
Experience leading projects valued at $5M or more.
Skills and Competencies:
Exceptional organizational, time management, and decision-making skills.
Proficient in mechanical and electrical systems.
Ability to read and implement construction documents.
Strong supervisory and interpersonal skills.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, P6 Scheduling, Bluebeam, and Procore.
Certifications:
Valid state-issued driver's license with a good driving record.
Current OSHA Construction 10-Hour certification.
Basic first aid/CPR certification.
Completion of Tennessee Drug-Free Workplace Supervisor Training within 6 months.
Availability and Physical Requirements:
Ability to work weekdays and weekends, including on-call availability.
Daily travel to job sites within a 100-mile radius.
Occasional travel to meetings or events within a 50-mile radius.
Occasional out-of-town assignments.
Physical ability to work outdoors and indoors, lift up to 50 pounds, and navigate various job site conditions.
Supervisory Responsibility:
Direct supervision of Assistant Superintendent, Foreman, Project Engineer (Field), and Job Clerk.
The successful candidate should demonstrate leadership, project management expertise, and a commitment to safety protocols.
