Fully Remote SPED Teacher Position For 24'-25' School Year

As a Remote Special Education Teacher, you will play a crucial role in supporting students with diverse learning needs from the comfort of your own home. Requirements:

• Valid South Carolina State Teaching Certification in Special Education
• Bachelor's degree in Education or related field (Master's degree preferred)
• Previous experience working with students with special needs
• Knowledge of Individualized Education Program (IEP) development and implementation
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, particularly in a remote setting
• Ability to effectively utilize technology for instruction and communication

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for remote students with disabilities
• Provide direct instruction and support to remote students with special needs through virtual platforms
• Collaborate with general education teachers, administrators, and support staff to ensure remote student success
• Monitor remote student progress and adjust instructional strategies as necessary
• Maintain accurate records of remote student progress and participation in accordance with district policies
• Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding remote student progress and goals through virtual meetings and email
• Participate in virtual professional development activities to enhance remote teaching skills and stay informed about best practices in special education
