A little about this position:

• As part of our Retail Team, the primary role of the Retail Buyer is to develop and execute product assortment, manage and support resort initiative to successfully grow revenue, increase gross margin, and increase stock turns of assigned categories.
• The Retail Buyer is responsible for partnering with the Senior Buyer to determine and develop an all-encompassing merchandise plan.
• Including but not limited to daily execution for forecasting, planning, analyzing, and operational follow-through to all retail outlets, while adhering to company and divisional strategies.
• A critical success factor for the Retail Buyer will be the ability to work closely with our industry partners, destination leaders, and to understand current and future trends along with opportunities to maximize our position as a destination retailer and to grow our business in the assigned categories.

Requirements:

• 1-3 years of related professional experience
• Degree in Marketing, Retail Administration, Merchandising, Business or other related field and or related experience preferred.
• Communication: Ability to effectively communicate and present information in writing and verbally across all levels of the organization.
• Organization: Ability to proactively prioritize needs and effectively manage time and resources to be able to work in a fast paced, deadline-oriented environment.
• Critical Thinking: Strong analytical and financial skills. Ability to analyze trends and make independent judgements which have considerable impacts on the organization. Able to problem solve and work with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
• Strong computer skills especially in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Familiarity with the Mammoth Mountain Resorts and action sports industry.

Hourly pay rate: $24.00 to $32.50
