Band Teacher - Full Time

As such, we are seeking a passionate and skilled Band Teacher to join our team for the remainder of the current school year.

Position Overview: We are looking for a dedicated Band Teacher to inspire and educate students in instrumental music. The ideal candidate will have experience teaching various instruments, directing ensembles, and fostering a love for music in students of all ages. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of young musicians and contribute to the vibrant cultural fabric of our school munity.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a prehensive band curriculum that aligns with state standards and educational objectives.
• Instruct students in instrumental techniques, music theory, and ensemble performance.
• Direct and conduct various band ensembles, including concert band, jazz band, and marching band.
• Organize and facilitate rehearsals, concerts, and other performances throughout the school year.
• Provide constructive feedback and support to students to help them develop their musical skills and achieve their full potential.
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and munity members to support and promote the music program.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Music Education or related field (Master's degree preferred).
• Valid teaching certification in the state of South Dakota.
• Demonstrated proficiency in playing and teaching various band instruments.
• Previous teaching experience in a school setting, preferably at the secondary level.
• Strong interpersonal and munication skills.
